10-person gondola lift in Wagrain am Grafenberg
The New Grafenbergbahn
A new era begins at Grafenberg with the 2026/27 winter season:
The new, modern 10-person gondola not only replaces the Grafenbergbahn—which is over 40 years old and dates back to 1985—but also the two existing Grafenberg Express lifts. This will make the ascent to Wagrain’s local mountain even more comfortable, faster, and more exciting.
Even during the ride, guests can look forward to a spectacular panoramic view: The vista stretches from the Hohe Tauern mountains across the Tennengebirge to the Hochkönig. This makes the ascent itself the first highlight of the day’s skiing.
An even more comfortable ride up the mountain:
The new Grafenbergbahn will take skiers directly and comfortably to the Grafenberg in the future. Via the mid-station, the ski connection with the G-LINK toward Flying Mozart, Grießenkar, and on to Flachau is even easier to reach—making access to the 12-Peak Ski Connection in Snow Space Salzburg even more convenient.
Skiing fun on Wagrain’s local mountain:
The Grafenberg run is one of the most popular slopes in the ski area. Especially in the early morning hours, when the sun rises over the mountains, perfectly groomed slopes, wide turns, and an impressive panorama await here. Thanks to the quick lift ride, fans of the Grafenberg run will be able to enjoy their day of skiing on the Grafenberg even more in the future.
Everything for a Relaxing Day on the Slopes:
The valley station will also offer everything you’d expect from a modern, premium ski resort: a comfortable, level
Step in. Take off. Enjoy.

Precision Work at Great Heights
A special moment at Grafenberg: The lift supports for the new Grafenbergbahn were flown in by helicopter and erected with pinpoint precision—support by support, one of Snow Space Salzburg’s major future projects continues to rise. Cinematic, powerful, and impressive: What looks almost effortless in the video is the result of perfect planning, well-coordinated teams, and the utmost concentration. The new Grafenbergbahn will begin operations in the winter of 2026/27 and will take you up the mountain even more comfortably in the future: a 10-minute ride at 6 m/s, a capacity of 3,400 people per hour, 120 cabins, and a total of 23 lift towers.
