Walks and hikes for a perfect nature day

Hiking in Snow Space Salzburg

“The one who climbs to the summit has the world at his feet.” The four summer mountain lifts in Snow Space Salzburg provide the ideal starting points for fantastic pleasure and family hikes. These lifts in Flachau, Wagrain and St. Johann-Alpendorf let you comfortably cover many of the first vertical meters up each mountain.

There are numerous hikes suitable for beginners and families, as well as experienced hikers, starting from the mountain stations. The four mountain lifts take you comfortably from the three holiday resorts of Flachau, Wagrain and St. Johann uphill to the hiking paradise of Snow Space Salzburg. A variety of different hikes start right at the mountain stations of each lift. From leisurely mountain walks such as the Geisterberg trail in St. Johann with its two kilometers in length and a gentle rise in altitude of 150 meters, to the challenging circular hike around the Griessenkareck - almost ten kilometers long and with a vertical rise in altitude of 526 meters - mountain hikers of all skill levels will find the challenge that is just right for them. All paths are clearly signposted and marked. You will also find numerous mountain inns and huts open along the hiking trails that invite you to stop in to enjoy their typical regional Salzburg cuisine and refreshments.
