LANDMARK PROJECT AT SNOW SPACE SALZBURG

Flying Mozart & Panorama Link

In the winter season 2020/21 Snow Space Salzburg will be amongst the largest ski areas in Austria. With the new Panorama Link cable car, which connects Snow Space Salzburg with the ski area Flachauwinkl / Kleinarl and the new construction of the Flying Mozart cable car in Wagrain, winter sports enthusiasts will be able to use more than 200 kilometers of slopes.

From the season 2020/21, skiers can ride from St. Johann / Alpendorf to Zauchensee with one single day pass. That's more than 200 kilometers of slopes.

Flying Mozart -
Comfort on a new level

With the renewal of the Flying Mozart cable car
in Wagrain, the premium ski resort sets new standards
in terms of comfort and carrying capacity.

The Flying Mozart cable car, which leads from the Kirchboden in Wagrain to the Grießenkareck via two sections, is one of the busiest cable cars in the Snow Space Salzburg ski area with 1.3 million transportations per winter season. Next year, a modern and high-performance monocable gondola with 10-passenger cabins will be built to replace the 31-year-old cable car.

The heart of the railway is the new underground middle station, which will provide same-level access to the G-Link aerial tramway connecting the Grießenkar with the Grafenberg.

The new mountain station will be suited a bit higher up on the mountain at the same height as the mountain station of the 8-person chairlift Starjet 3 coming up from Flachau and therefore giving access to a much wider range of slopes. The long straights in the stations allow a very comfortable entry and exit at a significantly reduced travel speed. The new Flying Mozart cable car will surmount the 970 vertical meters to the Grießenkareck in less than 11 minutes and carry up to 4,000 guests per hour uphill, so waiting times at the valley and middle station are finally a thing of the past.

The new Flying Mozart cable car at one glance

  • Carrying capacity 4,000 people per hour - unique in the world
  • 11 minutes ride from the valley to the mountain
  • Direct transfer to the G-Link aerial tramway
  • Free Wi-Fi in all cabins

The link with a unique mountain panorama

The new Panorama Link cable car connects the two ski areas Snow Space Salzburg and Flachauwinkl / Kleinarl and offers all guests maximum fun on the slopes and a comfortable ride in the cable car.

While skiing between the towns of Wagrain and Kleinarl, winter sports enthusiasts enjoy a unique mountain panorama in the Hohe Tauern and Niedere Tauern. The 3.1 km long cable car route
leads from the mountain stations on Grießenkareck over the ridge to the mountain station Flachauwinkl-Kleinarl. The new 10-seater cable car is being built and operated by the Snow Space Salzburg Bergbahnen AG together with Shuttleberg GmbH.

The new Panorama Link at one glance

  • Link between Snow Space Salzburg and Shuttleberg
  • Carrying capacity 2,400 people per hour
  • 8 minutes ride between Wagrain and Kleinarl
  • 3.2 km route with a unique mountain panorama

200 kilometres "Best of Mountains"

The ski connection between the Grießenkareck in Wagrain and the Flachauwinkl / Kleinarl ski area makes the region one of the top winter sports destinations in the entire Alpine region.
