Stage spectacle in St. Johann / Alpendorf

Preparations for the 73rd Tour of Austria are already in full swing in St. Johann Alpendorf. The local event committee proudly announced that the 4th stage of the renowned cycling race will once again finish in Alpendorf on 5 July.
This year, the stage will run in reverse order, starting in Schladming and finishing in Alpendorf. Special attention will be paid to the following day, when the cycling elite will set off from Alpendorf for the Glockner stage. This stage is regarded as the highlight of the tour, with the "Glockner King" being crowned in Kals am Großglockner in East Tyrol. This challenge promises exciting moments and breathtaking performances in the midst of the impressive Salzburg Alpine landscape.

The winner's trophy, created by the renowned metal artist Max Sendlhofer, known as Metall Max, was presented at a press conference on 7 March in the Snow Space Salzburg ski resort. This unique trophy symbolises the connection between sporting success and regional culture and reflects the spirit of the tour as well as the beauty of the Salzburg landscape. Sendlhofer's artistic work is characterised by the creative use of metal and gives the trophy an unmistakable character. Wolfgang Hettegger, President of the local organising committee and CEO of Snow Space Salzburg Bergbahnen, shares his enthusiasm: "Preparations are already in full swing. It is a great pleasure and honour for us that the Tour of Austria will once again be a guest in St. Johann / Alpendorf, in Snow Space Salzburg.
