From the piste to the terrain.

 

Up to now you have been skiing in a secured ski area. Now you want to plan and undertake your first easy ski tours in open terrain on your own? We take the Rote 8er gondola to the ski area. From here we set off on a short ski tour. Contents: Equipment knowledge, basics of avalanche assessment, practising with the avalanche transceiver and lots of tips on the correct ascent and descent technique in open terrain.

When: December 17, 2023, start: 8:30 am, end: approx. 3 pm

Guide: Heini Lechner, UIAGM professional mountain guide, long-time mountain rescue instructor, lecturer for ski touring at the UNI Salzburg

Meeting point: Rote 8er gondola valley station at Intersport

Equipment required: Standard touring ski equipment (including avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe).  

Price: € 89,--/person (including ticket for gondola ascent) Price with ski pass: € 72,50
